Happy Holidays

I have to say Christmas is my favorite holiday. I love the decorating, the Christmas lights, the cookie baking, and having a fresh tree in the house ( the cats love this as much as me). This year it's even better since I have a daughter who gets to experience it for the first time. Now she is only going to be nine months old so she won't really understand as much until next year, however she will still have fun unwrapping presents. Plus it is fun for me! We just took her to see Santa at the mall and her photo is perfect. However they completely rip you off! $20 for one 5x7 and two 3.5 x 5. Oh well, it was worth it.

Love this new lavender painting

I finally finished this big 48" x 48" canvas that has been taking up my entire studio for at least a month. I love it. I really need to get some better photos. It's just so hard to see all the little details.

6 Month Pictures

My baby girl is already almost 6 1/2 months old. How time flies. She sits up like a pro and has cut her first two teeth! She definitely takes after her dad, she is 27" long and in the 90th % for height, and weighing in at 18 lb. 3 oz. at the doctor last week puts her in the 85% for weight. I have a supermodel on my hands, and it seems I will be destined to be the munchkin of the family.

My dad's best friend David took these 4 generation pictures a few weeks ago.

Jessica took some 6 month pictures when she was here last week. For whatever reason my happy, giggly, smiley daughter turns impossible to please when her portrait is being taken. So there are few pictures where she is smiling.

If you haven't noticed, my daughter always has her arms straight out. Those arms have got to be diesel.

Evie is just so darn cute.

New 24" x 30" Painting

The past few days I have been painting with most of my free time since I have been on vacation, or I suppose it has been a 'staycation' since I haven't gone anywhere. It is definitely a challenge to get things done when you have a 6 month old who wants lots of attention.

Here is my newest painting. I took pictures while I was working on this painting. I thought it may be interesting to see how the painting transforms into the finished work of art. I only wish photos could catch all the details. Ultimately I think my paintings look best when seen in person.

Fall landscape

I did this painting and it took me quite a while. It was definitely a little out of my comfort zone, since it is more obviously a landscape. It is something different than usual though and I think I like it.

It is a 20" x 20" canvas incase you were wondering.

Business Cards

I finally ordered business cards! They came in the mail yesterday and I live them so much! I ordered them from moo.com. The quality of the paper and printing is really nice they are heavy and the colors came out great. I like that you can add up to 50 images to put on the back of each card.

I need to update and add new pictures to my painting tab and work on getting a website.

Family Pictures

Evie is now almost 12 weeks old. So crazy how fast she grows! Jessica took some family portraits yesterday at First Landing State Park. I love this cute little nugget.

Haha too bad Evie was pissed...

My little girl

I miss hanging out with this cutie all day. I have had to start supplementing with formula some. It has actually made Evie a lot happier and she sleeps better at night now. She had her 2 month check up last Monday. She weighed 10 lbs 13 oz and measured in at 22 1/2 inches. I think she's started filling out a little more since adding the formula to her diet. She had her first trip to The Williamsburg Pottery on Sunday. She was super good the whole time. The new pottery lacks all the weird freaky misfit items we were so used to. They have an awesome food selection though. I would want to grocery shop there if I lived closer.
