Office Inspiration

Now that my living room is pretty much done. Other than refinishing my kitchen table, I don't have too many other immediate projects. The counters and backspash for the kitchen can't be done until we can afford it. So I will have to tide myself over with little projects. When I saw this bulletin board makeover on a blog I follow Shopping Candy I thought this is something I can easily whip up. Here is her before and after:

Now my house has a lot of white in it, and our spare bedroom or office's walls are currently white. So I am thinking maybe I would paint a thrift store found frame a bright teal, or some other bold color. Zach is currently in the process of making me this awesome desk. So I probably will not have a desk for another month or so. I still have no idea what color I am going to paint the walls. Maybe a grey? Either way here are some inspiration photos.

love the shelves, sadly I have no room that big

I like the cozy feel of this
I wish I had a studio. I love the storage those drawers have to offer.
I love that chest with the drawers and that lacy basket
Love this, cozy and it looks functional. Love the little containers on the wall. And how it looks like they hung inspiration up on the wall.
Those little shelves scream 'dunny' to me!
This room looks cluttered but organized. With all the stuff I have I hope I can make it look like this. I like the addition of flowers and I love that lamp.

I love this chair. I hope I can find a little chair like this at the thrift store that I can paint and recover. This is another one of those little projects I can be working on.

I'm not a fan of orange but I really like this Monochromatic look.

All the images I found on Google image search and on another blog I love to follow Design Sponge

Odds n' Ends

Remember how I mentioned I got a new dunny shlelf for only $2.98?? Well here is a pic for you! Can't wait to paint it! I can not stress how perfect it is!
I also snagged this goodie! I am still undecided on whether I will paint it or not. Suggestions?
I have sadly not been getting the best pictures out of my camera, it is probably a user error though.
(Both pictures of the fan are the same deck of colors. Colorwise I think the first is a little better.) Janet and I went to Home Depot the other day and I decided to help myself to their paint samples! Some I am already ruling out, like the bright spearmint color and bright aquamarine. I am definately inspired by the beachy cottage look, minus the striped fabric. But I think for our houses colors I am thinking of alot of white, sandy neutral tones, and some greys plus my favorite pale blues, pale blue-greens, and pale greens. With pops of brighter blues and greens. Here is some inpiration:
I really love the light airy feel  with the light pale colors and pops of color with things like blankets, flowers, glasses/ vases, pillows, paintings(mine would work perfect!), and even maybe with a piece of furniture. I think it will make our little house seem larger too.

Furniture Dreaming

Well this house hunting has got me on a decorating craze. Thinking about how we will need lots of furniture. So I browsed around finding things I liked. I really haven't spent much time but I have found some things that I liked. Granted these are all things that if I had an extensive endless budget I could get, however that is not the case.

However, I do have a handyman ( at least he thinks he is, I have yet to see his skills at work) for a furture husband! Whom has just gotten loads of tools for christmas. So, potentially he could build us some things. Ha! I think if he was properly motivated with the space to work then he could definately accomplish alot. I also am not afraid to refinish/revamp some furniture. Thrift store hunting is not something I cringe at. You can find really good quality stuff there, it just may need some TLC.

But in my dream world, here are some things that I would possibly get. These are all from various places : Crate & Barrel, Pottery Barn, (that awesome daybed that is $3,000+ is from Anthropologie), Peir 1, Target.

I really love this desk, I think it is potentially buildable. Zach may possess the skills necessary. I really like things that have storage. Since I seem to have endless amounts of 'stuff' that need a home. I constantly feel like things are laying around everywhere, but I just don't have a better place to store them.

Someday I will have a dream home with dream furniture. But I am pretty sure that day is a looonnngg way off.

Just need to win the lottery.

Bookshelves.

So, I have started looking for home inspiration. I was looking for bookcase / bookshelf ideas since I want to have a rather large one covering the wall on the kitchen side of what is now my "dining room". I wanted to find something a bit interesting that could house my books and possibly dunny's as well. I also wanted something that Zach could make himself. Since he tells me he can "make anything out of wood" HA. well I hope he can handle this project, and I am sure I will find out... Here are some pictures I found while on my hunt...
I like the more irregular designs. I also like those big wall cube units like ikea has with a bunch of squares... but I think id rather have different size shelves because I have little books as well as rather large art books. Next to dunnys, books are probably my next largest collection and it will expand. So I want a pretty large bookshelf. Home decorating is just so exciting to me. I also found a site that I may buy a loveseat from they are relatively inexpensive and have a pretty good selection of fabrics. This is the one I like the most.. But I will continue my hunt. The monroe loveseat, and the Quasar Latte fabric....
